A Reflection Note
This semester
was really interesting and productive.
The most useful
thing was to share sources connected with writing, vocabulary, grammar, etc.
We found some websites devoted to some aspect of Writing in English. Also our teacher shared with us some really handy websites such as
http://www.citationmachine.net/ and https://bitly.com/ . They help us to design some links and make our
articles more correct and official.
In my point of view The Guardian is a very good newspaper, but sometimes
it takes a lot of time to find an interesting article. Using other online
newspapers, magazines and websites can make our classes more interesting and engrossing.
I think we need some books and theoretical exercises to learn more about the structure of an essay and summary. Frankly speaking, I felt the lack of learning materials about writing itself during this semester.
The most interesting topics for the discussion are ecological problems, health, beauty, relationships, and sleep. I prefer these themes because they are interesting, urgent and really helpful.

ОтветитьУдалитьthanks for your reflection. I am glad that you've found the materials we've used and the topics we discussed interesting and useful. And yes, I know that this course will benefit from a textbook that discussed the main points we've covered throughtout it. I've been planning to write one for some time now but unfortunately have not managed yet to complete it. I am hoping to do so in the nearest future.
Can you give me an idea about the kind of information you think you lacked?
