Never exercise at rush hour: six ways to avoid air pollution

The article “Never exercise at rush hour: six ways to avoid air pollution” written by Emine Saner is devoted to the discussion of the problem of air pollution. First, the author draws the readers' attention to consequences of air pollution. It is already known that air pollution can increase the risk of premature birth, cardiovascular disease, stroke and dementia. Soner told that ‘the main solution, of course, is to drastically reduce pollution’. Than she analyzes ways to avoid air pollution during exercises. These ways are to avoid polluted streets, to use special apps, to avoid rush hour exercise, to leave masks at home, to eat a healthy diet, and to cover baby’s pram or pushchair. It’s really interesting that people create an app that told citizens about the level of air pollution. The author gives an example of such an app. London Air was developed by King’s College London and shows levels of pollution at sites across the city. Emine Soner also emphasizes necessity of proper nutrition and a healthy diet. In the end it is stated that people can reduce the influence of air pollution.
